You can not beat the location of this hotel. 2-minute easy walk from the ferry from Playa Del Carmen. Hotel Plaza Cozumel is probably a 3-star resort, but it’s clean, has a nice pool on the roof and includes a free breakfast in the morning. Some rooms have a reasonably good view of the ocean. Easy walking to the city square and many restaurants and has a great bakery right next door. We have been there several times and will likely be back next time in Cozumel.
Outstanding room and experience. Clean, friendly, accessible. Great rooftop pool and patio and an excellent daily breakfast. I would advise this to anyone visiting Cozumel who desired an ideal place to stay. A guy told me about the best dive sites in cozumel because I was looking for options. I will try it on my next trip!
We came to Cozumel for two days and one night. Hotel is situated across the road from the ferry and adjacent to the plaza and pedestrian streets. The rooftop pool is awesome at sunset and breakfast is excellent. Not elaborate – very clean and welcoming – exactly what we were searching for. Our mattress was fantastic – and they had a delivery of new mattresses once we were leaving.
This was my 3rd trip to Hotel Plaza Cozumel, and I will definitely be back. The rooms are elementary and spotless. 2 double beds which are extremely comfy, bathroom with shower with fantastic water pressure and boiling water. Located in the heart of the town square steps from all and a 5 min cab ride to the airport. Folks have said being able to hear the music from Wet Wendy’s bar, yes you can…. Once you are in your room with the a/c on you can’t listen to anything.
Breakfast is amazing. Served at 7am, so you are able to catch the early dive boats. Buffet with eggs, pancakes, fruit, yogurt and yummy pastries. If occupancy is low, they can cook you whatever you want off their menu. I purchased egg dishes twice, and they have been ready in 5 minutes. The rooftop pool is an beautiful place to unwind after diving. Some tiles are missing from the pool, but I am expecting these are fixed soon.
However, I look at it this way, once I return, I might get a brand-new room.
Excellent place. A block away from the folk’s ferry and around the corner, clean but simple rooms, fridge available upon request, rooftop pool with beautiful sunset view, added breakfast made to order off the menu and directly in the center of downtown. So access to a good deal of local venues. Service was excellent once I asked for a room change because the ac seemed to have an aroma.
